Noah introduced me to the Glasgow-based jazz project corto.alto last weekend. After listening to their debut album Bad With Names, I went searching for more music and was delighted to find this Live on KEXP session published online this morning.

A sweet treat for Taylor’s birthday: I gifted her a rigid heddle loom wrapped in packing paper, twisting the ends and decorating it with colored markers to look like a Tootsie Roll. Here’s her first project with yarn she got from Trove, our local secondhand art supply store. I’m excited to see what you weave 💕
Toi Toi Toi
We left for Frankfurt the day after my birthday to visit my sister in Mainz. In the morning before our flight, I made French toast for breakfast with the remaining eggs and sourdough sandwich bread I baked earlier in the week. We were out of milk, so I substituted it with whipped cream from an aerosol can. (Where did the whipped cream come from?) A delicious way to avoid food waste.
